Currently... I attended Saint Cloud State University (St. Cloud, MN) and majored in Meteorology. I have also completed a Masters Degree in Software Engineering from Regis University. I am currently employed as a Software Engineer by Calabrio which specializes in workforce optimization solutions.
While at DTN... Prior to my current job, I was employed by DTN in the Environment Business Area from 2005 - 2012. I started as an intern in the Graphics department, drawing and analyzing weather products. I then moved up to Aviation Forecasting, where I forecasted primarily aviation forecasts for around the world. I later moved into a software development role where I utilized my weather knowledge to design and develop products for use externally and internally.
While at SCSU... I was employed, through work-study, at a residence hall at SCSU. I was the Desk Manager, which means that I had added responsibilities in addition to those of my first 2 years as a Desk worker. From the Fall of 2003 until the Spring of of 2005, I also was a Teaching Assistant in the Earth Science Webpage at SCSU.
Family, and youth... In my little, but highly valued free time, I spend time with my lovely wife. She completed her Doctorate in Community College Leadership a few years back, and now works at a community college in the area.
I graduated from Colome High School in Colome, South Dakota. My graduating class had only 17 people in it. I graduated second in my class with a GPA of 3.75 on a 4.0 scale. I participated in football, basketball, track, drama club, band, honor society, and many other clubs. I held officer positions in many of the clubs that existed at the time. Before moving to Colome for my Eighth grade year of school, I attended school in the Todd County School District. My youth was spent on a farm that is about 11 miles from Mission, South Dakota. The school there, and the family farm are located on the Rosebud Sioux Tribe's Reservation. I have a younger brother and sister. They are twins. Both attended the best college in South Dakota, South Dakota State University. My sister majored in Chemistry ACS (w/phys. emphasis), and now works at 3M in Brookings. My brother majored in Agriculture, and can now be found back on the ranch. My dad is a full time farmer/rancher in the Todd County area. My mom teaches Home Economics at the Todd County High School in Mission, SD.
